At the age of 17, Marco Piperno graduated in guitar from the class of B. Battisti D’Amario at the Santa Cecilia Conservatory of Music in Rome. He graduated with honours under N. Di Modugno from the N. Piccinni Conservatory of Music in Bari. From 2010 to 2013, he attended advanced music courses at the Accademia Musicale Chigiana in Siena with O. Ghiglia. Since 2013, he has been refining his guitar skills under P. Pegoraro and A. Del Sal at the Segovia Guitar Academy in Pordenone, and since 2017 under G. Bandini at the Luigi Boccherini Conservatory. In 2018, he graduated with honours from the A. Boito Conservatory of Music in Parma. Holding over thirty prizes, he is the winner of several important international guitar competitions, including the International Guitar Meeting “Ciudad de Linares” in Segovia, the International Biennial Guitar Competition Kutná Hora, Forum Gitarre Wien, the Alexander Frauchi International Guitar Competition in Moscow, Incontri Chitarristici di Gargnano, the “Ciutat d’Elx” Guitar Festival, and the International Guitar Competition “Comarca El Condado”.He has given concerts throughout Italy and in numerous countries in Europe and Asia. He has performed in prestigious concert halls such as the Wiener Konzerthaus, the Concert Hall of the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music in Moscow, the Philharmonic Hall in Trento, the Royal Park Theatre in Brussels, Parma House of Music, the Primate’s Palace of Bratislava, and LAVA (Laboratorio De Las Artes Valladolid). He has participated in numerous guitar festivals as a jury member, including Forum Gitarre Wien, the Andres Segovia International Classical Guitar Competition in Linares, the J. K. Mertz Guitar Festival, the International Biennial Guitar Competition Kutná Hora, the “Ciutat d’Elx” Guitar Festival, and the Paganini Guitar Festival in Parma. Since 2021, he has been teaching at the Nino Rota Conservatory of Music in Monopoli.
