He is a graduate of the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice, where he completed his studies in Composition and Theory of Music as well as Symphony and Opera Conducting (Doctor of Musical Arts degree) in the class of S. Bywalec. He has participated in conducting master courses led by M. Dittrich, G. Chmura, J. Kaspszyk, and L. Livingston. He was affiliated with the Archetti Chamber Orchestra of the City of Jaworzno as a violinist and conductor from 2014 to 2023. He has conducted the Polish Youth Symphony Orchestra in Bytom and the Karol Szymanowski Youth Symphony Orchestra in Katowice. He was twice a beneficiary of the National Institute of Music and Dance’s Conductor-in-residence program. He has assisted famous conductors such as G. Chmura, M. Halls, M. Jurowski, J. Kaspszyk, M. Klauza, C. König, A. Liebreich, J. Maksymiuk, L. Morlot, T. Kozłowski, and A. Wit. He worked as an assistant conductor with the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra in Katowice and the Grand Theatre in Łódź. He has conducted concerts of the Warsaw Philharmonic, the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra, the NFM Wrocław Philharmonic, the Beethoven Academy Orchestra, Jerzy Semkow Polish Sinfonia Iuventus Orchestra, the Podlaskie Opera and Philharmonic Orchestra, the Polish Radio Orchestra, the Polish Philharmonic Orchestra, the Silesian Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra, Oskar Kolberg Philharmonic, Tadeusz Baird Philharmonic in Zielona Góra, and the New Music Orchestra, among others. He permanently cooperates with the Silesian Opera. From 2016 to 2017, he worked as an assistant conductor with the Jerzy Semkow Polish Orchestra Sinfonia Iuventus, and from 2019 to 2022, he was an assistant to A. Boreyko at the Warsaw Philharmonic. In 2021, he received the Decoration of Honor “Meritorious for Polish Culture”. Between 2020 and 2022, he was the artistic director of the Silesian Chamber Orchestra. In his extensive repertoire, Polish music holds a prominent place. He has recorded works by R. Bukowski, H.M. Górecki, E. Knapik, K. Lipiński, P. Moss, and S. B. Poradowski. Compositions by B. Szabelski hold a special place in his repertoire.
