Archetti Chamber Orchestra is a group operating in the ATElier Kultury in Jaworzno, an artistic cultural institution. Professionalism, constant work on the technique, and the pursuit of a common interpretative ideal are the hallmarks of the orchestra. The ensemble’s repertoire ranges from classical to contemporary music, with particular emphasis on the works of Polish composers (participation in the TUTTI.pl project). In its artistic activities, the group places great emphasis on the projects of educational nature: music broadcasts and “Młodzi w Kulturze” (The Youth in Culture) authorial program aimed at young people. They are the organiser of Ogólnopolski Konkurs Młodego Skrzypka „Archetti” (a national competition for young violinists). The most important achievements of the orchestra include: MKiDN (Ministry of Culture and National Heritage) award at the 32nd Bydgoszcz Musical Impressions, the 3rd prize at the festival in Vienna, the 1st prize at the festival in Belgium, and the 2nd prize at OKOS (National Contest of String Orchestras) in Bydgoszcz. The orchestra is a beneficiary of the projects organised by National Centre for Culture and MKiDN (Ministry of Culture and National Heritage) “Kultura w sieci 2020” (Culture in the Internet 2020), and National Institute of Music and Dance – “Polish Music on Stage 2022/2023” and “Conductor-in-residence 2023/2024”. The group has cooperated with such artists as: Kaja Danczowska, Agata Szymczewska, Szymon Krzeszowiec, The Silesian String Quartet, Łukasz Błaszczyk, Jakub Jakowicz, Marek Nosal, and Marcin Wyrostek. On a permanent basis, the ensemble works under the musical direction of Maciej Tomasiewicz.
