Anabel Montesinos began her music studies at the age of 5 at the music school in her town. She studied also at the Tarragona Conservatory and later at the Superior Conservatory of Alicante. At the age of 19 she moved to Austria. There she studied at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg and at the Anton Bruckner Privatuniversität in Linz. As Winner of more than 10 first prizes in major guitar contests, Anabel Montesinos has performed concerts in the most important concert halls all around the world, between them, the Carnegie Hall in the year 2011. Anabel has performed with prestigious orchestras like ADDA Simfònica from Alicante, Berlin Philarmonic, Simón Bolivar Symphony Orchestra-Venezuela, Philharmonic of Sundsvall-Sweden, Philharmonic of Oulu-Finland, Havana Philharmonic-Cuba, Philharmonic of Moscow-Russia, Pomeranian Philharmonic in Poland, between many others. Anabel Montesinos has recorded 2 CDs for the label Naxos. Her albums have been praised by the international press highlighting the beauty, freshness, and virtuosity of her interpretations. She has shared a concert serie with Paco de Lucía, celebrated in Sweden and presenting “the other side of Spanish music” with a resounding success. Besides her classical program that spans from the Renaissance to the present day, she has also performed popular works on several occasions, such as music by The Beatles or Queen. In the year 2022 she release her 3rd solo album, recorded in Brasil with the company GuitarCoop. The album Alma Llanera is dedicated to the Latin-American music. In the year 2023, Anabel made a tour of more than 30 concerts. Between them, a world premier of a Concerto Allegro by Nicola Campogrande, dedicated to her. Currently Anabel is teaching at the well-known Liceo in Barcelona. She is an ambassador at the platform Strömmar and also, she is a Savarez Artist, playing with Cantiga Alliance Premium, high tension strings and her guitar, called Jasmine, was built in 2018 by the great luthier Steve Connor.
